NCOR: National Council for Osteopathic Research.

Why building a body of objective evidence is important.
As the osteopathic profession continues to grow, building an evidence base for our methods and treatments becomes more and more important, not just for patients but also for other health providers and stakeholders too. The medical profession, the NHS, health insurance companies, advertising standards, NICE and more are all increasingly interested in the services we provide and it's important that we are able to demonstrate the effectiveness of our treatment in a way they understand and accept.
NCOR assists the profession with research, development, evidence, guidance, promotion, governance and advocacy as well as having input into the training of current and future Osteopaths.
